We Salute You

Just a little Memorial Day tribute to my Comrades in Arms who've paid that ultimate sacrifice.  This is one of the many quotes we memorized during freshman year at The Zoo that I happen to take a liking to.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag."

--Father Dennis Edward O'Brian, USMC

Thank you to all Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen who have given their lives for this beautiful Country.  And thank you to the families of those whom we've lost, may they never be forgotten.  Only they and Jesus have given their lives for both those who love and hate them.
